We purchased this toy this spring and it has been quite popular with my 2 and 4 year olds. However, after less than 4 months outside, it is showing some signs of wear. The elastics that hold the top panels on when it isn’t being used are totally stretched out and don’t hold the top on. The table fills up with water each time it rains (big mess!). The umbrella is pretty flimsy and has to be stored inside or it blows away with a little wind.

The kids really make a mess with this and never did keep water on one side and sand on the other. If you are the kind of parent who likes order, this toy will drive you crazy as the kids will constantly mix water with sand and sand with water. The crane isn’t all that fun and just gets in the way. Overall, the kiddos like it, but it is a bit pricey for what you actually get.

I bought this a year ago. It is expensive and i expected better quaility for the price. Ties are not holding the lids on so it fills with water and it gets funky sand. The crain broke (the coolest part) last year about 4 months after purchase. There is also not a whole lot you can do with the way its set up. No room for sand castles but more room for a nasty sand mote which happends every time it rains. I would not recommend this product.

My boys ages 3 1/2 years and 17 months love the table. We’ve put sand on both sides of the table. They like to haul the sand from one side to the other. The digger will dump a little bit of sand outside the table but it’s not too bad. The boys end up dumping it on their own anyway with the digger. It is a little shallower than I had expected but it doesn’t seem to bother them. I am happy with my purchase. If your kids are into hauling loads of sand they will love this table. It is not really big enough for other types of sand play beacuse of the roads and ramps.

This is so cute. It’s big for my 7.5 month old, but she is already trying to walk. I searched for dimensions everywhere, but no luck. If you need them, floor to top of the handle is 20 1/2 “, at it’s widest, it is 13 1/4″ and it is 19″ deep. The noise of the woodpeckers is nice. It’s noticible, but not annoyingly loud. I’m not sure how effective the mechanism is for slowing down the speed at which a baby can walk. It seems you can either let the wheels go all the way or not at all. I didn’t find much of an in between. Very easy to assemble. I was disappointed that some glue was showing – its clear glue, but just looks a bit sloppy. Overall, I am very please and this is much nicer than some others out there.

I love that this walker is wood and that it has a retro feel. That said, I’m not sure it was worth the money. First of all, when it arrived, one of the clicking flaps had broken off. We had to re-attach it with wood glue. Also, we have some carpet in our house and even with the knob completely loosened, my daughter usually tips it forward when she tries to push it there. On the tile, it works great, but carpet, not so much. Plus, she can unscrew the knob completely and take it off. I haven’t found it in her mouth yet, but I’m sure I will. I still like the toy because it’s so unique. And I want to love it, but I can’t say I do.

This toy looks better in person than it does on the website. I was very apprehensive about spending on a toy without examining it in person. Where to begin…you can’t tell from the picture but there are two “legs” that stick out the back past the wheels that prevent the walker from tipping backwards on to the child. The mechanism to control how fast the back wheels turn works excellently and is easy to use. I have been able to adjust it to work on several different surfaces (both hard surfaces and different thicknesses of carpet). the back wheels have rubber on them which creates a better grip on the floor and helps to slow down the walker. In front of the woodpeckers are two pieces of wood. each wood pecker taps on a different piece of wood. the woodpeckers peck at irregular intervals and at different times. the craftmenship is wonderful. the finish is beautiful. no flaws. no complaints. the handle bar is at a great height. i was afraid it would be too short for my son, but it definitely is not. the pecking noise is definitely not too loud or obnoxious. everyone who looks at it remarks about the quality and beauty of the piece. we looked at the melissa and doug walker in person (the one with the alligators) the quality is very inferior and the handle bar was way too short. My son is 11 months old and is able to walk easily with this toy. he has yet to manage turning it around when he runs into a wall. he also enjoys playing with the woodpeckers and turning the toy on its side so he can spinn the wheels. i am very happy we decided to splurge on this toy.

Our 2 year old, who is really into construction toys went bonkers when his little excavator was delivered. We hardly had a chance to assemble what little there was to assemble, when he was jumping on it and pretending he was digging. He plays on it for hours and it helps to stimulate his imagination. We enjoy watching him on it and feel it was a excellent buy. Thanks

My boys have really enjoyed playing with this toy, however in order to lower the bucket it requires a lot of wrist strength and most of 2-4 year olds that have tried to play with it are not able to make it function on their own. It’s even a little difficult for me to get it to lower. The only other comment I would add regarding this excavator is that if the children are not able to operate the arm that makes the bucket lower they tend to lean forward on the toy, causing the toy to tip and occassionally the child will fall face forward into the arm of the excavator. This toy requires a lot of parental supervision.

This kid-sized mower lets children mow the lawn just like mom or dad. Children can watch the bouncing green “mulch” beads inside the bagger as they move along. With a sturdy base and handle that’s just their size, it’s sure to make outside play extra special. IT measures12.50″L x 23″D x 20.50″HA realistically noisy pretend lawn mower with fun visual effects, this one is likely to get a good deal of use by toddlers who want to play grownup. The coolest part of this toy is the see-through plastic mulch compartment. It’s full of tiny colored beads that dance around when the mower is in motion, giving the illusion of grass being mulched. An on/off key, gear switch, gas cap, and a loud popping noise add to the entertaining components. Made in ty

My 14-month-old son received this for his first birthday and it has been his favorite toy ever since. He uses it indoors and outdoors. He pulls it, pushes it, pushes down on the handle to flip it up and look at the underside, plays with the controls, opens and closes the “gas cap”, etc. He never tires of it. His latest game is to set a big ball on the “engine”, and try to push the mower around without bumping the ball off. IMPORTANT: This mower is great for babies who already can walk one or two steps on their own, or who can stand steadily on their own. It’s not great for babies who need something to lean on in order to stand up or walk. If a baby leans or pulls up on the handle, they will not get the support they expect — the handle will fall to the floor, taking them with it.My son was walking about four or five steps on his own when he received this mower. His walking ability quickly skyrocketed after receiving it — perhaps due to his strong desire to play with it. Great toy — we love it. Highly recommended.

My son received this mower (well actually, the red and black version, but it’s the same toy) for his first birthday, because we thought he might be able to use it as a walker. He could not. The base is much too light for a learning walker to practice with, so stick with a regular walker for that. He learned to walk incredible quickly, though, and a few weeks after his birthday, he was running through the house, “mowing” the living room. It is still (6 months later) one of his favorite toys, and he plays with it every day.

We bought this last year when my son was about 16 months old, he loved it then and loves it now!! He is quite good at sharing his toys, apart from this mower. my friends have bought ‘bubble mowers’ for their children and have ended up buying this one because the others stop working after a while. It is a very durable, simple, inexpensive toy that children do not seem to tire of. Money well spent!!

I bought this for my 2 year old Bob the Builder fan. It is difficult to use the toolbox to hammer into, but if you turn it on it’s side your builder can hammer all day long. It’s a little tight at first, but after you hammer a couple of nails and pull them out it gets easier. I like this toolbox because its a little more difficult for little hands. My son has to really think about hitting the nails and turning the wrench and screwdriver, but he can do it. This set looks real and my son loves that. If he sees his daddy using tools he will go get his tools so he can help. Some kids might get frustrated with it, but I think that it’s teaching fine motor skills.

We love it

My son LOVES most construction toys and barely touches this one. While there are “nails” and “washers and screws”, they are awkward to use on the toolkit – mainly for lack of space. Very cute, though, just not terribly practical.

Besides being one of my son’s favorite toys, I feel great about him playing with it all the time because he is building on his fine motor skills. Also, it is adorable to watch him follow his father around the house when his father fixes things. Cleap up is made easy by the tool box that comes with it – and this toy is holding up unbelivablly well considering how quickly my son’s toys normally break!
